Your teeth are composed of two main parts: The Crown is the part visible above the gum. The Root is the part below the gum that holds your tooth firmly in your jaw bone. If the crown of your tooth becomes weakened by decay or fractures, it can be restored and strengthened by an artificial crown. Artificial crowns are covers which fits over a damaged or badly stained tooth. They look natural and require only the same care necessary for your natural teeth.

A bridge is an artificial tooth used to replace one that is missing. It is attached to your neighboring teeth. One of the benefits of using a bridge to replace a missing tooth (or teeth) is how natural it looks and feels. With proper care, bridges can last for years. See Dr. Lester today if you would like to “bridge the gap” in your smile!
